In 2002 we are pleased to offer a new initiative for singers,"Choral Tutorship" The programme is designed to nurture and develop an interest in church and choral music in a professional yet friendly environment. The scheme is primarily aimed at young men whose voices have recently broken or for girls at the age of 15 who would not wish to join the junior choir.
The programme follows on from the junior chorister achievements and naturally includes an element of religious tuition to help create an understanding of music in liturgy and worship with thought given to why certain music is sung and its appropriateness to the church seasons.
The scheme encourages participation in the Diocese of Rochester Awards if eligible.
Although initially for younger voices the programme is flexible enough to welcome candidates of more senior ages
Further details of the Choral Tutorship can be obtained from the Choirmaster, Andrew Wilson by contacting the choir via the "contact us" link.
